Hi 🙂 I’m Kevin, the creator of MeditationMag.com.
For the past couple of years, my partner Jovanna & I have been traveling around the world, interviewing spiritual masters about Awakening and Enlightenment. We’ve talked to Zen masters, ayahuasca shamans, meditation authors, Buddhist monks (from five different traditions), Hindu gurus, Yogis, and more. We’ve traveled thousands of miles, through dozens of spiritual cities and mystical communities. And we’re just getting started!

I’m writing this update today to let you know that we’ve (at long last) received the final permissions to begin releasing episodes from our most recent journey through India & Nepal 🙂
Last year, we published four TV-length episodes (40 minutes each), featuring spiritual masters in New York, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. This year, we’re changing it up a bit. Instead of four 40-minute episodes, we’ll be releasing sixteen 10-minute episodes, chronicling our adventures from the southern tip of India to the high peaks of the Himalayas.
We’re also changing the name of the series, from Paths Up The Mountain to Spirit Quest. Paths Up The Mountain focused mainly on answering the question: do all spiritual paths lead to the same mystical peak? In other words: do Zen masters, yogi gurus, and amazonian shamans all experience the same kind of Ultimate Realization… or do they experience different kinds of Awakening & Enlightenment? While there is still much to explore in this question, I feel like Joel Altman answered it really well in the final episode of Season 1.
Instead, this first season of Spirit Quest focuses more on our earthly adventures through India & Nepal — with bonus videos in case you want to dive into one of the monasteries, watch one of the guru interviews in full, or explore a city in more depth of detail.
