  • There are hundreds of ways to reduce anxiety, but most of them don’t really heal the roots of anxiety, at its core.

SSRIs, cannabis, alcohol, and other drugs can reduce the symptoms of anxiety… while you’re on them… but once the drugs leave your system, the anxiety symptoms creep back in, like dark shadows beneath strangling vines.

Psychotherapy (the kind with the therapists and the couches) can give you an outlet to talk out your anxious thoughts, to give your anxiety a voice, to let it out like steam from a whistling kettle. This can help you feel unburdened in the short term…

…but the deep roots of anxiety — the hard-wired neural pathways and deeply entrenched unconscious habits that are constantly generating and reinforcing the anxious thoughts in the first place — unfortunately, still remain 😞 So you need to keep coming back to therapy, over and over again, to release more steam, and feel better… for a while.

But if you want to truly heal the roots of your anxiety, read below to understand how anxiety really works, and how it can truly be healed in a short period of time, without having to spend all that money on therapy and drugs 🙌

I first began to truly understand my own anxiety back in 2006, at Stony Brook University.

I was pacing around my dorm room, my head spinning with a thousand thoughts and fears.

Ruminating on something I’d said… wondering if she liked me or not… worrying about my upcoming class…

Wracked with anxiety, I instinctively reached for the bong on my desk. I was desperate for a little bit of relief, and I truly believed that smoking weed would make me feel better. It was the only way I knew to stop the spinning thoughts, to relieve the sick feeling in the pit of my stomach.

And for a few minutes, I felt happy. I laughed. I played video games. I ate Cheetos.

But soon, the anxiety was back… and it was even worse than before.

I’d missed the class that I’d been worried about.

I was back to pacing around the room, but the thoughts were swirling faster. I could hardly think straight.

A knock on the door startled me out of my stupor. My friend Rachel’s voice came through as she opened the door: “Kevin, are you ok? Why weren’t you at our statistics class?”

Fortunately for me, Rachel had been meditating since she was a kid. She could intuitively see what was going on with my mind. She knew about the spinning thoughts, and she knew the way out. So she sat me down and taught me how to meditate.

That meditation was a turning point in my life.

It wasn’t some kind of fancy or special meditation… but it left me with a life-changing realization:

    Thoughts are just… thoughts.

I realized I had the power to sit down, even in the midst of the swirling storm… and instead letting it throw me around — both mentally and physically — I could actually just sit still, and allow the thoughts and emotions to come and go.

That moment, that realization, marked a radical shift in my relationship with myself.

I was no longer a slave to my thoughts and emotions. I was the master of my own destiny, and I could actually use my mind the way I wanted to use it.

    Rising out of anxiety

In the years that followed, I experienced a few more turning-point moments like this.

Pushing myself to face my fears, to do the things my anxiety had held me back from…

Realizing that anxiety could actually be helpful, and even useful in certain situations…

Even a powerful awakening experience in a Buddhist monastery in Thailand, when I stopped fighting my anxiety, gave up control, and discovered the deep peace and happiness that exists beneath the thoughts.

Each realization helped me to heal from my lifelong anxiety more and more.

To heal anxiety at its roots, you need deep understanding & a structured path

There are many ways to reduce the symptoms of anxiety, from drugs and alcohol to bubble baths and essential oils.

Mindfulness and meditation help a lot, but even these powerful practices are just pieces of the puzzle.

To truly heal from anxiety, you need to deeply understand it. You need to see anxiety clearly for what it is, why it happens, and how to respond when it arises.

You need a structured path, a comprehensive strategy that gives you the tools to utilize anxiety for its evolutionary purpose…

Without allowing it to make you suffer, make you feel sick & unhappy, and spoil your experience of being alive on this beautiful planet, in this unfathomable Universe.

That’s why I created this course… Working With Your Anxiety (Instead Of Against It).

By learning to not only reduce the symptoms of anxiety, but also, more importantly, to befriend your anxiety, to utilize it, and to transform it into more helpful emotions…
